Welcome to "Palestine Diary," a website designed in part to relay the firsthand reports and experiences of Paul Burrows, who has traveled to the Occupied Palestinian Territories to join the Olive Harvest campaign organized by the International Solidarity Movement (ISM). The ISM is a Palestinian-led organization committed to non-violent resistance to Israel's brutal and illegal military occupation of the West Bank, Gaza, and East Jerusalem. Paul's initial thoughts on going to Palestine can be read here.

This site is also designed to help people inform themselves about the history of the region, to understand the nature of the current conflict and the motivations behind the Palestinian intifada (uprising), as well as to humanize the Palestinians who have been systematically de-humanized and stereotyped by Western media, pop culture, and our so-called "experts" and political "representatives."

And finally, "Palestine Diary" exists to help people get involved in solidarity work on behalf of Palestinian human rights and self-determination in their own community.
