We are pleased to announce the Winnipeg premiere of Montreal award-winning photographer Darren Ell's exhibit "Twice Removed: Photographs from Occupied Palestine," as well as Danielle Sara Frank's film "Sunset Over Qalqiliya," both of which will run concurrently with the Canada Palestine Film Festival. This year, the Canada Palestine Film Festival will be adding a film jury and awards component to the festival. Jurors will decide upon a range of categories, including "Best Fiction Feature," "Best Documentary," "Best Short," as well as the "Golden Olive" Award for best festival selection. Jurors will consist of local and international members from academia, media, filmmaking, and social justice circles. The official 2005 festival jury, and their awards selections, will be posted on this site.

An "archive" section has now been added to the festival website, and last year's (2004) site can be viewed there in full. Our media criticism page, which catalogues everything from film reviews to full-scale attacks and slander, can still be viewed here. The new (2005) site will be updated over the next couple weeks.
