Description:
A contemporary Palestinian
drama exploring the complex love triangle between two brothers
and their childhood friend. Upon his release from an Israeli
prison, Mazen develops romantic feelings for Raeda — already
engaged to Mazen's younger brother, Taher. Writer and director
Hanna Elias tells a complex love story in his first feature
film amidst the backdrop of intoxicating landscapes in Israeli
occupied Palestine. |
"The Olive Harvest" effectively
integrates a simple, involving tale of romantic love, tradition
and family loyalty into the larger climate of unease in a Palestinian
countryside vulnerable to aggressive Israeli settlers.” — Variety
Magazine
“Palestinian director Hanna Latif Elias has pulled off a
feat that few world leaders, let alone filmmakers, could manage.” — Hollywood
