Description:

Two teenage Palestinian girls from refugee camps in Lebanon and the West Bank get to know one another as pen pals, sending letters, gifts and e-mail.  Although Israel's 36-year occupation profoundly affects their daily lives, the girls find ways to live as normal teenagers, enjoying birthdays, taking care of daily chores, attending schools when they are open, and discussing fashion, love and normal teenage concerns.
